Kirsten & Ross

Hi! We are Kirsten and Ross and we are the owners of Biggar Hounds! 

We both hold a Canine First Aid and Wellbeing qualification and are insured through Cliverton. We also hold an Animal Boarding License issued by the South Lanarkshire Council and a Basic Disclosure Certificate. 

Kirsten grew up with guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and horses but always wanted her own dog. Influenced by her Granny's beloved Golden Retriever 'Honey', she became a Mum several years ago to the lovely 'Strawberry' - a beautiful working Goldie.

Ross's family didn't have a dog of their own so Ross walked neighbours dogs as a child.

Ross rescued 'Old Red' aka Marley whom he had for 13 amazing years. Over the past ten years he has walked and boarded numerous dogs for friends and family and until recently had been the dog walker for 3 dogs for a total of 8 years.  Ross is of course dad to Strawberry and loves it! 

We moved to Biggar in Summer 2021 and decided to go for our dream of running our own dog walking and home boarding business. We wanted to create a business we ourselves would want for our own dog and so we established Biggar Hounds.  ​
